Is The Actor Happy? is a reissue of the 1995 concept album about playing live and is typically packed with smart self-depracation ('i'm a reluctant rebel / i was born to be Aaron Neville'). Less typically - following as it does the stark and aptly ulcerous Drunk - this is a chipper old set, fleshed out with arresting pop hooks and country curlicues, while being concerned with relatively life-affirming things like nipples. Now includes six previously unreleased tracks including a collaboration with Lambchop.<
