The unique 1956 collaboration between a great female German pianist and West-Coast tenor sax pioneer. The only studio album bearing Hipp’s name (her other two Blue Note releases were live recordings). Recorded at the original Van Gelder Studio in Hackensack, New Jersey, on 28th July 1956. Featuring Jerry Lloyd on trumpet and the classic rhythm section of Ahmed Abdul-Malik (bass) and Ed Thigpen (drums).
