Lagon Nwar

Quentin Biardeau, a saxophonist, and Valentin Ceccaldi, a bassist, both members of the flamboyant Tri-Collectif, invite us to experience their album Lagon Nwar. They collaborate with Reunionese singer Ann O'aro and Burkinabe drummer-percussionist-singer Marcel Balbone on this debut self-titled album.

The nine tracks on the album paint a world that is powerful yet tender, luminous yet shadowy, gentle yet furious. The music of Lagon Nwar is unclassifiable and fascinating, blending elements of Creole tradition, Afro-jazz, and European pop. The album is infused with feverish poetry that resembles a gripping story.
