L’Empreinte Inversée is presented as the rediscovered score to a lost French noir project by Jean-Claude Dumont, following a retired Parisian crime commissioner into a mysterious murder investigation in the Camargue.
Leipzig-based project Macadam brings the score to life with vintage instruments. Hypnotic grooves, shadowy atmospheres, melancholic themes and a recurring funk motif trace a story of obsession, uncertain identities and shifting reality.
