The eagerly anticipated follow-up to 'How To Live With A Phantom' raises the bar even higher for this songwriting genius. Gone are the hook-loaded pop moves of 'Phantom' and in their place is a greater love for exotic textures, wacky and weird kitchen-sink instrumentation, and Sakamoto's favourite new instrument: the pedal steel. Add some cooing female backing singers, chuckling cuica and a pitch-shifted robo buddy straight out of a Joe Meek record, and it's an adventurous album to say the least, with Sakamoto conducting it all like some perma-stoned lounge singer whisking you away on an island holiday.
