Title

Let’s Live For Today: The Complete Recordings is the first-ever issue of an unknown album by cult UK psychedelic pop group Living Daylights from the Summer of 1967. The album features both mono and stereo mixes, as well as their highly collectable singles, including their near-hit recording of "Let’s Live For Today".

Fronted by Garth Watt-Roy and his younger brother (future Blockhead) Norman, the five-piece Harlow band Living Daylights signed with Beatles publisher Dick James in 1967. With a studio production team that included Caleb Quaye, they were given the song ‘Let’s Live For Today’ as their debut single. The single gained popularity after being championed by DJ John Peel on Radio London's Fab Forty and was also released in America.

Despite its sales potential, the single lost out to a cover version by American band The Grass Roots, leading Dick James to plan for an album release. However, without a hit to support it, the Living Daylights’ album never materialized, and the band eventually split after their second single failed to gain traction.

Now, 55 years later, the album finally sees the light of day, featuring mono and stereo mixes, UK singles, and even American and Japanese versions. Let’s Live For Today: The Complete Recordings is a significant addition to the British psychedelic pop albums of 1967, with a booklet that tells the band’s story for the first time, including quotes from Garth and Norman Watt-Roy, the band's accurate line-up, and their connection to another Dick James project, Elliots Sunshine.
