Title

Pylar, one of the best-kept secrets of the Spanish underground, is a collective formed in Seville (Spain) by members of Orthodox and Blooming Látigo.

With an imaginary that feeds on occult sciences, the sacred (with special attention to pagan themes), or hyperstition, Pylar navigates the depths of mysticism and cosmic horror evoking interdimensional and abyssal sonic scenarios.

An instrumental training that incorporates percussion, guitars, keyboards, horn, violin, or mandolin, to which is added vocals that intone texts by the experimental writer and philosopher Francisco Jota-Pérez, fragments extracted from occult sciences, and the cult vanguard grimoire Cyclonopedia.

Pylar moves between experimental doom metal, black metal, and psychedelia, creating music of dense textures by superimposing elements in the styles of Blut Aus Nord, Swans, or Oranssi Pazuzu.

Their first work “Poderoso se alza en mí” (2013) was their letter of presentation, praised by the very Julian Cope.

In Limyte, their new album, Pylar collaborated with renowned musician and producer CG Santos (Teitanblood, etc.) who has created a piece of music, playing hurdy-gurdies and modular synths, with the aim of being inserted into Limyte as an outside element so that it can open Pylar's compositions on this album outwards, towards a hypercacophony.

Pylar aims to take Metal to its limits and explore and ultimately break them in order to glimpse new heights to which to go from, always towards the last frontier.

Limyte is Pylar's new album, the seventh in his career and the third and final chapter of the trilogy that began with Horror Cosmyco (2019) and Abysmos (2021).
