Live at Yoshi's


Allan Holdsworth pushed fusion and prog guitar somewhere few players have reached. Across a career spanning almost six decades, he released numerous solo studio and live albums and played with Soft Machine, The New Tony Williams Lifetime, and Level 42.

His advanced harmonic and melodic language inspired players including Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, John Frusciante, and Tom Morello. Zappa called him “one of the most interesting guys on guitar on the planet”, and it is easy to hear why.

In 2006 and 2007, Holdsworth toured the U.S. and Europe with Alan Pasqua, Jimmy Haslip, and Chad Wackerman. On September 29 and 30, 2006, they played four shows at Yoshi’s in Oakland, captured on HD video by Eric Dorris.

Now, to mark the 20th anniversary, the full Saturday show arrives on vinyl for the first time, remastered by Grammy Award-winning engineer Rich Breen. Live At Yoshi's is a 4LP set containing both Saturday shows in full, pressed on translucent red coloured vinyl.
