Love On Track: Every Album, Every Song

With a title like Forever Changes, it makes sense that Love built a catalogue that moves through folk rock, garage, jazz rock, baroque pop, psychedelia, soul, funk and reggae, especially in the hands of the brilliant, troubled Arthur Lee.

Love On Track follows every version of the band while giving proper space to Lee’s solo work. It traces the path from the raw beat of Love and the reflective songs on Da Capo to the counter-culture landmark Forever Changes and the harder edge of Four Sail.

It also digs deeper, covering the double album Out Here, work with Jimi Hendrix, vegetarian protest songs and the romantic return of Five String Serenade. There’s solo material from Bryan MacLean, a new interview with Berton Averre, and a detailed look at live recordings.
