Oscar Rossignoli might be the busiest musician in New Orleans, and for good reason. A first call across jazz, funk, and world music, he brings deep range and unmistakable touch to every setting.

Born in Honduras, Oscar Rossignoli studied classical piano at a conservatory through much of his youth. Hearing Michel Camilo opened the door to jazz, and twelve years ago he arrived in Louisiana to study at LSU.

He plays regularly with his own trio and with New Orleans greats including Brian Blade, Herlin Riley, Jason Marsalis, Nicholas Payton, John Boutte, Branford Marsalis, Donald Harrison, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Victor Goines, Joe Dyson, Bill Summers, and the Masakowski Family.

In a city full of serious piano players, Oscar Rossignoli stands out. His touch, melodic style, and virtuosity are impossible to miss, whether he is leading his trio or lifting someone else’s band.
