Merregnon: Heart of Ice

Merregnon: Heart of Ice is Nobuo Uematsu’s first concert piece. It follows decades of work composing for the video game series Final Fantasy (Square Enix). In the tradition of Prokofiev's “Peter and the Wolf,” the work introduces listeners to the instruments of the orchestra, assigning musical motifs to specific characters. Performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, it features narration by Oscar-winning actress Alicia Vikander. The Ice Vinyl includes a liner note from Nobuo Uematsu.
