The Rock’n’roll mystery unfolds … Rod and Johnny Mac became great friends through their love of Celtic Football Club! For years, Johnny Mac and the Faithful have been making records that get played at Celtic FC’s home games and Rod loved their energetic Celticfolk sound so much he asked if he could write over one of their tracks which then became ‘Julia’ on his 30th studio album Blood Red Roses. From there a bromance grew between Johnny Mac and Rod and he invited Johnny and his band to open for him on 2019 Summer Stadium Tour of UK and Ireland…and again on Rod's winter tour this year.
