The album is the debut record by the Miles Davis Quintet, and generally known by the original title Miles as indicated on the cover. It features the same personnel that played on the classic 1956 sessions, consisting of Davis, John Coltrane, Red Garland and Philly Joe Jones. Reissued on vinyl by Craft Recordings, released as part of the Craft Jazz Essentials series.
