My Love Is Free - The Salsoul Recordings 1976-1979

SoulMusic Records (SMR) in association with The Second Disc presents a 4CD box set by this legendary Philadelphia group presenting their trend-setting recordings for Salsoul Records.

The 46-track collection includes expanded editions of the Ten Percent (1976), Fourplay (1978) and Locker Room (1979), the three full-length albums recorded during their association with Salsoul’s Gold Mind Records. Plus a specially-curated fourth disc that includes remixes, instrumentals, and a capellas from their Salsoul discography. All audio has been newly remastered by Nick Robbins.

Key tracks include the first-ever commercially released 12” single, "Ten Percent", plus "My Love is Free", "Everyman" and "Newsy Neighbors".

A deluxe, 28-page booklet is designed in period style by John Sellards with comprehensive liner notes by DJ Dyn-o-Mite, founder of JointzOfTheDay.org. This collection continues the 2024 SoulMusic Records/The Second Disc series of reissues from the famed Salsoul and Gold Mind catalogues by The Salsoul Orchestra, Loleatta Holloway and First Choice.
