My Own Shadow: Album

For over three decades, Berlin-based DJ, producer and curator Marcel Dettmann has remained a central force in electronic music, rooted in influences from post-punk and industrial to synth-pop. His DJ sets and releases on Ostgut Ton and Dekmantel weave together raw techno, Chicago house, electro and avant-garde soundscapes.

Beyond the club and his own imprints, MDR and Bad Manners, Dettmann has moved into gallery soundscapes, ballet compositions and film scores. That curiosity defines a career built at the intersection of dancefloor function, collaboration and sonic evolution.

My Own Shadow: Album follows the EPs Approaching (2025) and Faultline (2026), where music, visual art and photography converge. Built from textural minimalism through rhythm, space and tension, it connects Dettmann’s past with a sound in motion across tracks such as Gravitational Scar and Resolution Vector.
