Title

To most people, the name Trevor Peacock is probably synonymous with Jim Trott in "The Vicar Of Dibley".

But in the late 50s / early 60s he was a Rock & Roll scriptwriter (TV shows like "6-5 Special", "Oh Boy!", "Boy Meets Girls") as well as a successful songwriter, presenter, and occasional performer. Among others, he wrote hits for Adam Faith, Joe Brown, Jess Conrad, The Vernons Girls, Bernard Cribbins, etc.

This compilation explores Trevor's Rock & Roll years, featuring his Decca 45rpm from 1961, a Big Jim Sullivan Combo 45rpm on which he sang, plus a couple of dozen examples of his songs being performed (and in one case, chirped) by other artists.

The booklet includes extensive quotes from Trevor's interview with Spencer Leigh on BBC Radio Merseyside.

This body of work has never previously been thus compiled, and several of these sides are unavailable elsewhere on CD.
