Bab L’ Bluz is a Moroccan-French power quartet that is reclaiming the blues for North Africa. The band is fronted by an African-Moroccan woman who is taking on a traditionally male role in music.

Bab L’ Bluz is dedicated to bringing about a revolution in attitude that aligns with Morocco’s ‘nayda’ youth movement. This movement consists of a new wave of artists and musicians who draw inspiration from their local heritage. They sing words of freedom in the Moroccan-Arabic dialect of darija, reflecting the unique cultural landscape of the region.
