Netherworlds

Out of the misty Karelian town of Joensuu, Insomnium return with their tenth album, Netherworlds — a powerful blend of Finnish melancholy, haunting melody, and ferocious melodic death metal.

Produced by Miiro Varjus and mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren, whose credits include At The Gates, Arch Enemy, Kreator, The Halo Effect, and Dark Tranquillity, it captures Insomnium at their most dynamic and cinematic yet.

It also marks the first album since guitarist Tomy Laisto joined the band. The artwork, created by Travis Smith, known for work with Opeth, Amorphis, and Devin Townsend, opens the door into the band’s rich, unmistakable melancholy.

Still pushing beyond old formulas and familiar paths, Insomnium keep searching for new shades, textures, and emotional depth without losing the core of what makes them so compelling.
