A-side taken from Derik and The Disasters’ self-titled debut album, with B-side False Flags exclusive to this release.

For Del Greening of Peter and the Test Tube Babies, this starts with hero worship: seeing Charlie Harper tear through Stranglehold on Top of the Pops, then catching the UK Subs live at Crawley Leisure Centre.

Years later, Harper kept turning up at Test Tubes gigs, praising Greening’s playing and floating the idea of a project. With both now based in Brighton and touring less, the timing finally clicked.

Joined by Vicky Smith of the Ramonas on bass and Marley Perez, Harper’s grandson, on drums, they recorded in October 2025 at Brighton Road Recording Studios with no rehearsals or pre-production.

The result is a 14-song debut that draws on both writers’ histories while carving out something direct, vibrant and current. New Palestine comes from the album; False Flags is only available on this single. Play loud.
