Niedługo wychodzę na Grochów

The release includes a 140-gram vinyl LP and a 30-page photo album with black-and-white analog photographs taken over the past four years. The photographs document the project's development process and present Grochów from the artist's perspective, forming an integral part of the entire release.

Side B is fully instrumetal.

Warsaw's Grochów district, the mid-1990s. Two teenagers, skateboarding, hip-hop, and the first turntables. This is how the story of Technik Figlina begins – a project created by Bartek Łukasiuk (Technik) and Kuba Fogel (Figlina), two DJs who have shared a passion for music for nearly thirty years.

Niedługo wychodzę na Grochów is an album deeply rooted in DJ and turntablist culture. It draws on classic '90s hip-hop and boom-bap, but its primary instrument is the turntable. Scratches don't play an extra role here – they drive the narrative, build the compositions, and give the tracks their own character. This is an album where the turntables are as important an instrument as the microphone, and Figlina's rap appears where it naturally complements the music.

Each track is a distinct story and a world of its own. Alongside personal memories, abstraction, absurdity, humour, and deliberate controversy emerge.

From the outset, the project was developed as a cohesive audiovisual entity. Bartek Łukasiuk was responsible for the visual concept, photography, and music video direction, ensuring that the music, imagery, and physical release complement each other while maintaining a single, consistent artistic language.

Niedługo wychodzę na Grochów is a meeting of classic hip-hop and turntablism, archival VHS recordings and modern production, and music with analog photography and film. This project grew out of DJ culture and presents it in a contemporary, original form.
