Transcendence is a progressive rock band from Dallas/Ft. Worth, formed in the late '90s by Kirk Wood (bass), Jeff Ford (guitar), Greg Drew (vocals), John Von Rosenberg (drums), and John Howser (keyboards).

They hit the spotlight in 2002 with their debut, The Meridian Project, which topped MP3.com charts, driven by the #1 single "Alpha Omega". The band later toured with prog icons like Dream Theater and Geoff Tate, cementing their reputation.
