Nubes

Olavi Louhivuori, Eivind Lønning and Kim Myhr make their debut as a Finnish-Norwegian trio on Nubes, recorded at We Jazz Festival in Helsinki in 2021. It’s a quietly gripping set with an organic flow, moving beyond genre and building intensity with real patience and purpose.

Documenting their first time playing together, the trio sound unified, confident and searching, opening up a sound world that feels expansive without ever losing focus. It’s music that draws you in slowly, then carries you somewhere far from the obvious.

Louhivuori has also appeared on We Jazz Records with Superposition, and plays with Linda Fredriksson Juniper, Ilmiliekki Quartet and Joona Toivanen Trio. Myhr, touring internationally since the early 2000s, released nine albums under his own name; You | me was nominated for the 2018 Nordic Music Prize and received an honorary mention.
