Forged at the crossroads of Crust Hardcore urgency and freezing Black Metal ferocity, the album delivers a suffocating and ritualistic assault built on saturated riffs, hammering rhythms and dissonant atmospheres steeped in nihilism. Conceptually inspired by olibanum, the true incense whose extraction requires deliberate wounds inflicted upon the Boswellia sacra tree, OLIBANVM explores themes of sacrifice, suffering, death and transcendence, drawing parallels between ancient pagan rites and modern funeral liturgies. Formed in Puglia, Italy, in 2013, laCasta have established themselves within the extreme underground through an uncompromising blend of dark Hardcore and Black Metal.
