One Star

Love Is, the solo debut of former Sizarr singer Fabian Altstötter, was released in 2019, featuring reduced, calm pieces carried by a voice that settles somewhere between Mark Hollis and Scott Walker.

On new album, One Star, Jungstötter continues his ambitious musical vision and also opens up completely new horizons. Besides the calmness and intensity of the predecessor, which are still there, Fabian Altstötter also takes excursions into instrumental extremes.

The ten songs - languorous, romantic love songs, longing for death and uneasy contemplation of the world - are sometimes intricate but they create a very special complexity, not only lyrically, with experimental touches.

 It is hard to believe the musical distances covered within the songs that are fragile and powerful at the same time, making One Star an album that grows with each listen.
