alexander's annexe is an ensemble comprising of three distinct artists - mira calix, david sheppard and sarah nicolls - and 'push door to exit' is their debut release. having met whilst on tour with the london sinfonietta, alexander's annexe began working on a composition commissioned by italy's ravello festival that fused instruments with electronics. 'push door to exit' is a beautiful yet mysterious piece of music composed entirely on the piano. it overturns all preconceptions you may have about the grandest instrument in the classical lexicon. at just under 30 minutes in length, this specially priced limited edition is an essential composition for avant garde / classical music fans.
