Random Roots

Psychogeografia is a music duo founded in 2019 by Paweł Krzaczkowski aka Zajwert and Piotr Łyszkiewicz, combining sounds of prepared upright piano, wind instruments, synthesizers and various unusual acoustic devices. The band's sound is detrmined by an original technique of playing prepared upright piano, improvised wind parts stretched between melodiousness and sonority of extended techniques, structures of knocks, clashes, crackles and pulsations, combining various trends of avant-garde and avantpop music with ritualistic and trance repetitiveness.

Random Roots - the album was recorded between April and December 2019 in Wroclaw and Warsaw in our record studios. The name Random Roots is a kind of oxymoron (either roots or chance). We believe we come from many places at once. Not necessarily the nearest ones. Thus we affirm the idea of global inclusiveness and friendship. This is the music we try to create.
