Scattered, Smothered and Covered is a reminder of just how deep Hootie and the Blowfish's record collection runs. This rarities and B-sides set leans into the band’s gift for reinterpretation, bringing together a run of covers that feels wide-ranging, thoughtful and easy to sink into.

They take on I Hope That I Don’t Fall in Love with You by Tom Waits, Hey Hey What Can I Do by Led Zeppelin, Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want by The Smiths, and R.E.M.’s Driver 8, showing influences as varied as the band’s famously accessible sound.

Their excellent cover of 54-40’s I Go Blind, first heard on the Friends soundtrack, is here too. This edition comes as a 2LP set with a Side D etching.
