Sendero Mistico

Sonido Gallo Negro is a stunning 9-piece, instrumental combo from east Mexico City that channels both the mystique and mysticism of 1960's Peruvian cumbia. The band integrates a variety cumbia styles with electric guitars, Farfisa organ, Theremin, flute and of course fluid Latin percussion.

Spaghetti western soundtracks, psychedelia, indie rock, and surf music also echo in their compositions. Sonido Gallo Negro ("Black Rooster Sound") entitled "Sendero Mistico" ("Mystical Path").

Sonido Gallo Negro hail from Mexico City's red-hot underground scene and "Sendero Mistico" is a masterful instrumental trip through vintage Cumbia, spaghetti western guitars, and theremin-driven psychedelia. This will be their first-ever European release.
