Social Limbo

Open presents Social Limbo, a collection of eleven dreamy, rough, abundant instrumental songs that capture the essence of our ever-changing times. Massi Amadori's melodies tell stories of nostalgia and melancholy, reflecting on a lived, loved, and consumed Italy in the midst of rebirth.

In tracks like "Male Nostrum", "Venice", "Social Roll", and "Limbo", Open explores themes of dreamlike suggestion, mysterious love, social commentary, and introspective reflection. These songs represent a fusion of dark and light, east and west, with the heart rooted in the south, blurring the lines between life and death.

Social Limbo is a collaborative effort with musicians and producers such as Andrea Benini (Mop Mop), Francesco Giampaoli (Sacri Cuori, Hugo Race), and Manuel Volpe (Rhabdomantic Orchestra). Recorded in Turin and Ravenna during the summer months from 2020 to 2023, the album features artwork by Umbrian artist Aimone Marziali and was mastered by Kelly Hibbert at Almachrome, produced by Andrea Benini.
