Luke Marzec is a British-Polish singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose music blends soul, jazz and pulsing grooves into a distinctive and emotionally rich sound, anchored by his rich, booming voice and expressive songwriting. His work sits somewhere between the laid-back warmth of Dope Lemon and the timeless depth of Ray Charles.
He studied classical and jazz saxophone at the Royal College of Music Junior Department while at secondary school, where he was also a member of the National Youth Wind Ensemble of Great Britain. He later studied Philosophy at the University of York, performing with the University of York Jazz Orchestra and collaborating with Lazy H on the experimental electronic jazz project Loose Cables, before continuing his musical training at Trinity College of Music, London at master’s level.
Supported by BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 2 and KCRW, Marzec released his debut album Something Good Out of Nothing in 2025 and now performs with his evolving live project Luke Marzec and the Neighbours, alongside appearances with Pick Withers and performances at major venues and festivals including Sidmouth International Jazz Festival, PizzaExpress Live and Bristol’s Cafe Kino on 10th July.
