Sound Awake

Sound Awake from 2009 by Karnivool, reissued by InsideOutMusic. Built on heavy, down-tuned yet melodic riffs, intricate time signatures (such as "Goliath" in 27/4 time), and atmospheric textures. Karnivool's Sound Awake captured a moment in time when circumstance, influence and individuals collided, restructured and, with a lot of time, pain and joy became elevated above the sum of the parts.
