'stars' the second single is a freshly effervescent slice of sizzling summer pop warmly invested with imported west coast dustings and sumptuously garnished with snappy candy pop licks that shimmer and crackle tantalisingly with sherbet like fluorescence. dipped and decoded with subtle late 60's brit psychedelics meted with shades of sultry vibes of country pop. think the criminally underrated doleful lions re-inventing mercury rev's 'carwash hair'9 era early career work with the beachwood sparks at the controls. the equally tasty 'the chariot song' features over on the flip deliciously sounds like a generically relocated and deeply chilled out stereolab shimmying up to a post brian beach boys and rifling through the back catalogue of buffalo springfield to serve up a positively feast laden smorgasbord of laid back fuzzy felt porch pop. quite perfect if you ask me. limited to 500 copies on heron records.
