paul burch and the wpa ballclub are all set for the release of their new album 'still your man' on ramseur records. featuring the redoubtable wpa ballclub - jim gray, fats kaplin, dennis crouch, jen gunderman, and marty lynds, "still your man" was recorded in burch's new studio built in an abandoned building near nashville's music row. "it was originally an old garage from the 40's with tall ceilings" says burch. "it gave everything we recorded a natural echo and a lot of personality. we could make the music sound like it was coming from a ballroom, a juke joint, or a taxi driving through times square". pb produced "still your man's" 14 songs with wpa bassist and robert plant & alison krauss bandleader dennis crouch and former jayhawk, jen gunderman. the album also features guest performers kelly hogan (neko case) and tim o'brien who also appeared on 2006's "east to west"
