Hamilton’s Actor, formerly Mister Rabbit, return with The Best Of, swapping the pastoral Americana of earlier releases for crunchy, feedback-heavy songs that pull from 1990s alternative rock, power pop, and modern alt-country. It’s a sharp reset that still feels fully realised.

Big guitar riffs and full-throated vocals drive arrangements that are more knotted than they first appear, matched by direct, heartfelt writing. Though this is technically their second album, it lands like a fresh start: confident, clear-eyed, and packed with songs built to carry the band further.

Out September 25 via Having Fun / We Are Busy Bodies, the album was recorded at Boxcar Sound with producer Matt Snell and engineer Sean Pearson. Jeff van Helvoort, Sean Smith, Mitch Clark, and former member Ryan Mickeloff tracked live in the loft space with minimal overdubs, keeping the room feel intact.
