Roky Erickson and The Aliens' The Evil One returns in a deluxe 15-track edition from Fire Records, restoring the original 1981 415 Records front cover for the first time since release. Spread across two LPs at 45 rpm, it gathers the full 1978 and 1979 sessions with real depth and clarity.

Produced by Stu Cook of Creedence Clearwater Revival, this landmark set captures Erickson pushing beyond the 13th Floor Elevators into tougher, stranger territory. Two Headed Dog, I Walked With A Zombie and It’s A Cold Night For Alligators still sound brilliantly unhinged.

The package includes a booklet with liner notes by Austin journalist Joe Nick Patoski, plus rare photos and archive material from Craig Luckin. It also launches a new reissue series, with Gremlins Have Pictures and Don’t Slander Me set to follow in 2027.
