The Ghost Dance

Haiver’s debut album is a phoenix-from-the-flames story of moving from the depths of grief and depression to a place of purpose and recovery. Its writing has been a form of therapy and tells the story of a journey from tragedy and despair to hope and new beginnings. It has relevance and brings fresh optimism to existing Frightened Rabbit fans whilst bringing something new to Scotland’s music scene.

“The Ghost Dance was written at a time where I experienced life face-on and dealt with a lot of demons.” says Kennedy “The record built over the years and a sound developed as my confidence and self-belief started to sink in.

After years of captivating audiences as a key member of the renowned band Frightened Rabbit, musician and songwriter BillyKennedy is stepping into a new realm and spearheading Haiver, an indie rock band based in Glasgow. The music delves into the raw depths of his vulnerability, touching upon themes of darkness, grief, and loss, yet infused with an uplifting sense of hope.
