In The Good Side Of Things, Kelissa brings a distinctive blend of reggae, soul, and conscious songwriting. The album is a strong addition to reggae, roots, independent music, and culture-focused catalogues. 

The Good Side Of Things is an ode to home, family, culture and personal transformation, exploring themes of resilience, gratitude, womanhood, spirituality and Rastafari. Much of the project was recorded and written at Skyline Levels Studio, in Jamaica, giving the album a strong sense of place and authenticity.

The project was co-produced by Kelissa and Jamar McNaughton also known as Chronixx, with the album moving between reflective, slow-burning compositions and rhythm-driven, horn-laced grooves. Warm basslines, layered percussion and expressive vocals create a sound that is both grounded in reggae tradition and distinctly contemporary.
