Luca 'DJ Rocca' Roccatagliati's new electronic project is titled The Infinite Ladder / 2Blue Reworks, released by the sonic laboratory NUKFM. The album's title is derived from the photograph titled 'The Infinite Ladder' by Ian Simmonds, which has been chosen as the album cover. 2Blue Reworks is the subtitle of the album because Luca Roccatagliati has freely reworked from the ground up the poetic drones of 2Blue, a radical project of electronic music, architecture, and poetry from the biennium 2002-2004, which united the two composers Enrico Marani (Spectral Unit/TAC/Samora) and Luca Roccatagliati himself. This complete and radical reworking of the 2Blue sonic project results in an instrumental electronic album with a profound cinematic impact, featuring strong dramatic and futuristic undertones. Soundwise, the album exists in a new musical realm, the 'disambient,' merging lyrical echoes of Vangelis and Morricone, the drone-landscape of composer Enrico Marani (Spectral Unit/Samora/2Blue), and the ambient-breaks of Tipper. The Infinite Ladder is a cinematic and futuristic listening experience that pairs well with Preternatural by Spectral Unit.
