Recorded while touring in support of their second album, Different Light, The Pittsburgh Broadcast captured The Bangles at the peak of their powers. With at least two bona fide classics under their collective belts - the Prince-penned Manic Monday and the US chart-topper Walk Like an Egyptian - the Los Angeles four-piece were crowned pop-rock royalty in their own right by the raucous crowd that filled Pittsburgh's Syria Mosque Arena to bursting on 13 December 1986. Filmed for posterity by MTV, the group's set included highlights from their first two albums (Restless, Let It Go), plus those singles and a cover of Big Star's power-pop classic September Gurls - manna from heaven for all the December boys and girls who still have it bad for Susannah Hoffs and co.
