New songs from the beatnik poet, leader singer and co-founder of the Fugs. Planned as a Greatest Hits album for Ed Sanders’ 60th anniversary, the project shifted when he delivered powerful new songs. These appear alongside two recent collaborations with John B Sebastian on early Sanders tracks. With support from Danish duo Hasse Åbner Ild and keyboardist Mogens Papsøe, the album mixes Ed’s vocals and strumstick with poetry, rich sound, and urgent messages.
