The Slider

T Rex's The Slider album, remastered by Tony Visconti, was released in July 1972. It came after three chart-topping T.Rex LPs and captured the essence of the era known as 'T Rextasy'.

This album is a testament to Bolan's timeless appeal that spans across generations. The Slider features two UK number 1 hit singles, "Telegram Sam" and "Metal Guru". The latter was famously praised by Morrissey as 'pop perfection'.

This album was the first to bear the T Rex wax co imprint, signifying EMI records' recognition of Bolan's significance by giving him his own record label.
