The Sound of Nouvelle Vague

The Sound of Nouvelle Vague brings together French pop, chanson and film music from the cultural movement that transformed France at the dawn of the 1960s. Songs associated with Jeanne Moreau, Serge Gainsbourg, Françoise Hardy and Brigitte Bardot capture a Paris alive with new ideas, connecting the cinema of François Truffaut and Jean-Luc Godard with the records of a changing generation.
