The Turn

Written with long-time collaborator Peter Glenister, this album shows Alison Moyet at her most nuanced, pairing real breadth with a depth that gives her soulful, blues-inflected voice plenty of room to move.

It features the singles One More Time and A Guy Like You, alongside three songs written for the play Smaller. The result feels carefully built but never stiff, with strong melodies and lyrics at its core.

As Alison Moyet put it: “The Turn is an album of crafted songs... It is about melody and intelligent lyrics. We let it fray outwards from there. It is in turn progressive and reflective.”
