On The Voices Are Coming Back, Helsinki duo Pearly Drops (Sandra Tervonen and Juuso Malin) craft their most immersive and narrative-driven work to date - a dreamy, distorted autofiction inspired by their surreal time in Los Angeles. Fusing gossamer pop textures with jagged electronic undercurrents, the album conjures visions of glamor and decay, blending otherworldly vocals, modular synths, and shimmering guitar.

Themes of identity, burnout, and transformation unfold through standout singles like the ethereal “Mermaid” (featuring Cub Sport), electroclash-adjacent “Ratgirl”, and the cinematic “End Credits”. Written, recorded, and mixed entirely by the band—who also handled all cover art and styling—the album continues the Pearly Drops tradition of complete DIY world-building.
