Title

In 2022, after 27 years and 18 albums of tireless experiments and collaborations in Electronic music, Coppé (“The Godmother of Japanese Electronica”) surprised everyone with her first “conventional” full-live band album of lounge-jazz standards, called *(Un-)tweaked.

Forced out of the usual club venues and opportunities to experiment with her usual Electronic producer buddies throughout the 2020-21 Covid Lockdown period, Coppé and her guitarist brother, Hiro, rekindled their love of classic jazz, with Coppé finally having the time to fulfil a promise to Hiro of one-day releasing a full-band album of Jazz standards with him - under one condition: She can follow it with an Electronic remixed version with her usual buddies.

And so, 2024 finally sees the follow-up release of *(   -)Tweaked. A collection of radical and experimental remixes and interpretations of the nine standards from *(Un-)tweaked. by a cast of acclaimed Electronic veteran acts, plus a selection of new and emerging talent.

Previous long-standing collaborators nd remixers, Plaid, Atom™ and Nikakoi return to offer trusted new perspectives on the their respective tracks. Legends Luke Vibert, Frank Bretschneider and Michael Fakesch (of pioneering German glitch-hop duo, Funkstörung) all make their debut on a Coppé release. While the new talents of Noayama (son of Michael Fakesch), Sonny-Boy Anderson (son of The Designers Republic™’s founder, Ian Anderson), GIZAT and Procrastinatrix are all given opportunity to experiment with their debut remixes across the rest of the album and its assorted bonus tracks.
