From the early 1960s, Claudia, later credited as Claudya, built a solid ye-yé career in Spain. She started out with Quique Roca and his band, cutting around ten pop EPs, often with Spanish takes on international hits. From 1964 into the 1970s, she recorded with Ramón y sus Showmen in a similar vein.

In 1970, they shifted toward the soul sound then catching on in Spain, releasing a single packed with real dancefloor energy: Un millón de lágrimas, adapted from The Grass Roots' I'd Wait a Million Years, and No te creas tú que tan loca estoy, a Spanish version of Bill Deal and The Rhondels' What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am.

Original copies are famously scarce, despite a Peruvian release on Marfer, and demand surged decades later after collectors, DJs and compilations brought it back into the spotlight. More than 50 years on, this is the first-ever reissue of a genuinely sought-after Spanish soul 45.
