Since 2014, master saxophonist Doug Webb has led the unofficial house band at LA’s The Baked Potato, building a deep, road-tested chemistry with Jamie Kime, Jimmy Earl, Mitchel Forman and Danny Carey. Together they channel a forceful, refined fusion spirit that nods to Jeff Beck, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Billy Cobham.

Impex Records now brings that energy to Variations, recorded live in the studio and available in two formats: a six-song 180-gram LP and an expanded nine-track CD. The LP was remixed to analog tape by Roy Hendrickson and mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.

The CD includes three bonus tracks using the original digital mixes. If you’ve spent years chasing sharp, high-powered West Coast fusion, The Doug Webb Group delivers it here in full flight.
