Emmet Cohen, a critically acclaimed pianist, composer, and bandleader, has traveled the world performing sold-out performances. He is also known for creating and hosting the most highly watched regular online jazz show in the world, Live From Emmet's Place (as recognized by The Guardian).

Cohen has earned a reputation for cultivating an atmosphere with his musicality that inspires generations of musicians. Since 2012, Cohen's musical journey has been profoundly shaped by his friendship with jazz legend Michael Funmi Ononaiye, also known as the iconic Vibe Provider. On Vibe Provider, Cohen presents a masterful blend of original compositions and beloved classics.

The album is dedicated to his friend and mentor, Funmi, and features an all-star band including: Bruce Harris (trumpet), Tivon Pennicott (tenor saxophone), Frank Lacy (trombone), Cecily Petrarca (koshkah), Philip Norris (bass), Joe Farnsworth (drums), and Kyle Poole (drums, producer).
