Amigo the Devil is a banjo-attacking dark folk troubadour who has established himself as a multifaceted artist with a kaleidoscopic vision. He has garnered attention from publications such as Rolling Stone, Noisey, Consequence of Sound, Kerrang, and Brooklyn Vegan.

Vol.1 is a collection of his first three EPs released between 2010 and 2015. Tracks on Vol.1 include "Hell And You," "Dahmer Does Hollywood," "The Weight," "I Hope Your Husband Dies," "The Dreamer," "The Recluse," "Perfect Wife: A Revenge Story," "One Kind Of People," "For A Few Good Men," and "Infamous Butcher."

LA Weekly described him as a mix of Johnny Cash at his blackest and Father John Misty, with a touch of exhuming graves at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Rolling Stone praised his ability to explore dark and grim subject matter, such as suicide and serial killers, and turn them into dark love songs that culminate in heavy-metal catharsis.

Despite the heavy themes, Amigo the Devil injects humor into his music, which shines through in his lively live performances.
