The Rads are a raw, high-energy band from Florence, reigniting the flame of proto-punk with a distinctly contemporary edge. Formed in September 2024 by a quartet of rock'n'roll veterans, the band delivers an uncompromising blend of grit and rebellion — self-aware, mature, and hard-hitting — capturing the wild essence of punk's origins in an adult and conscious form.

Their debut EP, Only the Beginning, recorded just three months after the band's formation and released on June 22, 2025, is a five-track tour de force that channels the chaotic spirit of the past while boldly carving out a new direction.

The intense live activity throughout 2025 — relentless, unapologetic, and formative — has fuelled the writing of a new album, and the two new singles define its direction with striking clarity. Loud, fast, honest. The Rads are just getting started.
